Harvey Liu, Ph.D.

Dr. Harvey Liu has nearly fifteen years of experience counseling clients ranging from small start-ups to international Fortune 500 corporations in all aspects of patent law.  His practice focuses on patent portfolio development and management, licensing, and intellectual property counseling for clients in the chemical-related arts, including composition, materials, synthesis, and processing. 

Harvey has technical expertise in the areas of advanced materials, notably self-healing inorganic films for flexible electronics (e.g., OLEDs, solar cells), nitric oxide-releasing smart bandages/fibers for organ preservation, conductive polymer fibers for solar cells/OLED applications, electrospinning of composite polymer fibers for photovoltaic applications, and electrospinning of proteins for bio-fuel cell applications.  

Harvey’s innovative work on nitric oxide-releasing smart bandages earned him recognition as a finalist in the Collegiate Inventors Competition.  He is also a co-inventor of U.S. Patent No. 9,216,198 for this nitric oxide-releasing smart bandage. 

Prior to joining Farber LLC, Harvey was an Attorney at MH2 Technology Law Group and Nolte Lackenbach Siegel.
