Francisco Rivas

Frank’s almost forty years of executive level in-house and AM Law 100 law firm experience, enables Frank to provide companies in the life science industry with practical legal advice to navigate compliance in the complex global regulatory environment. His practice includes development of best-in-class Compliance Programs that meet or exceed the Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, United States Sentencing Commission, and U.S. Department of Justice guidance documents.

Frank has served as Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer for two companies under Corporate Integrity Agreements; one of which covered clinical, quality, and regulatory functional units, as well as commercial interactions with health care providers. He has also served as Compliance Officer for a medical device company which parent organization was under a Deferred Prosecution Agreement with the Department of Justice. Two of those companies achieved double digit growth while meeting their CIA obligations.

Prior to joining Farber, Frank served as external Compliance Officer/Compliance Counsel and Privacy Officer for two global life science companies. In that capacity he has managed to create Compliance Programs scaled to the risk profile and size of the organizations, under budget. He has also created de novo Compliance Programs for several other pharmaceutical and medical device start-ups and works with other life science companies on regulatory compliance matters including:
