Samantha Gerold

Samantha’s practice covers all aspects of trademark law including trademark clearance searches, domestic and foreign trademark counseling, worldwide portfolio management, brand enforcement and trademark litigation before the USPTO.

Samantha enjoys working with clients to develop cost-effective strategies for developing, maintaining and expanding their brand. She works closely with companies to develop and acquire trademark rights, including clearance and availability counseling, and actively helps clients protect, promote and enforce their marks.

Samantha handles all aspects of virtual intellectual property violations including violations on Amazon, Alibaba, AliExpress, Facebook and Instagram. Samantha also handles copyright registration and enforcement, domain name acquisitions and disputes – including DMCA and ICANN disputes, and has extensive experience drafting and negotiating trademark license agreements, settlement and co-existence agreements .

Samantha has assisted clients with protecting trademark rights in a wide variety of industries. This includes chemical products, paint products, cosmetics, cleaning products, pharmaceuticals, food, beverages, wines and spirits, nutritional supplements, medical instruments, metal products, machinery,  tools, environmental products, vehicles, firearms, jewelry, fashion, paper and printed material products, furniture, houseware and glass products, flooring, fabrics and textiles, clothing and apparel, toys, business consulting and advertising services, insurance and financial services, construction services, education and entertainment services, telecommunications, IT services, computer software, apps, SaaS products, medical services and more.

Samantha received her law degree in 2018 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, with a concentration in Intellectual Property and Information Law. While in law school, Samantha served as Staff Editor on Cardozo’s Moot Court Honor Society for two consecutive years and completed over 100 hours of pro bono legal services. Prior to law school, Samantha received her Bachelors of Science degree in General Science with minors in Biological Sciences and Business Administration from Fordham University.
